Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@shoekitty - I'm curious to see what you think of Claret in person. I've seen it and its one of those hard to describe colors, at least for me. It reminds me a bit of heather in that it looks different in person than in photos on the internet. It also is described differently by people who see it. It doesn't really go with my citrus-y sunny colors so I'm passing on it. I bought a fruit bowl in Shamrock recently to see if that would go with my colors and I'm really on the fence about it. I don't really need any more setting so I'll probably pass. If there was a nice jade color, I probably wouldn't resist! I hope your back is doing better!

@Meezerpleezer - I haven't been able to stop thinking about those Dillard lady bug exclusives since you posted the photos! After checking the pieces on the Dillards website the other day, I saw they weren't available so I decided it was for the best. I really don't need them despite how cute they are! Well...in a weak moment, I checked again today and they had them all back in stock so I have one of each heading my way! I'm not a big fan of red but these are just too cute. I think they will cheer me up on the days I'm feeling a little glum. And so much for not buying any more Fiesta since I'm supposed to be getting ready to downsize! I'm such a weakling when it comes to my Fiesta collection! Your vegetable garden sounds beautiful by the way.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

The pics I have all seen seem like burgundy.  But the photo at Boscov's has ne scared.  If it is anything like Heather, out it goes.  I will keep fruit bowl and mug, and give granddaughter the setting!!

@shoekitty Someone posted this picture of Claret and Lemongrass and I can tell you, I have seen Claret and it doesn't look like this at all in person:

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@kutira  I love that little menopause emoticon but I never did care for menopause.  Would I ever have a hot flash when it is 0 degrees outside?  Oh NO.  The hot flashes only came when it was in the 80's, making me feel like a hamburger on the grill.  I don't miss it at all.  I am sorry that you are going through it, especially in your weather conditions.

Hope some cool air comes your way soon

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

shoekitty,

I just googled the new color Claret and it compared it to 4 other colors.  In that picture the Claret looked more like the Rasberry color of 1997.  It did not look like Heather.  The other colors in comparison were Plum and Cinnibar.  Just google Claret Fiesta comparison and hopefully you will see that chart too.

I hope you enjoy your new Claret pieces!

@lizzys  Thanks for telling us about the comparison image.  I have found it and posted it so it will be easy for everyone to see.  Thanks again.

Thanks for the comparison photo!  In the picture Claret looks more like cinnabar.. On Boscovs it looks more like Heather, and on another website it looked just like Raspberry!  The photo of the Claret with Lemongrass does look like the Boscov photo interpretation of Claret.!

Hot today, in the 100's.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@shoekitty  I have seen it twice now in the store and I think that it looks like Cinnabar.  However, in the store, they have those fluorescent lights which really can change the color and the way one sees it.  The picture that HL just posted of the small vase in Claret looks purple in tone like Lizzy E said.  You are the only person that I know who has Cinnabar and will also have Claret.  I can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Here is HL's picture:

Meezer

This is the first time in 30 years we have not has a veggie garden. It is sad!  I miss looking everyday at the plant progress, then watching the first bud, and then watch the veggie grow.  It is s rewarding.  Not to mention reaping the benefits of the harvest, YUM!!  My order should come tomorrow!  You guys will be the first to know out of the box

@RainGirl  I don't know if those ladybug items are sold in the store or just online but I think that I would love the ladybug rice bowl.

Thanks for the compliment on the vegetable garden.  It has been a lot of work this year, maybe more than others.  The weather has just been crazy!
