[ Edited ]

I rarely purchase food items here. I have bought the bone broth and some tasty taffy I believe I ate all of the taffy before the 'easy payments were completed-not good money management and made the scale turn  against me.

Personally I live in a big city and can find most items or equivalent at lower prices.I realize that many do  not have that option.I am on team stop it /yuck as far as the original post goes. But if it works for QVC and customers-ok.I do not have to watch.

Re: Squeezing and Smashing Food

Another food smashing thread.  Doesn't bother me in the least.  I understand why they're doing it.

As far as bread is concerned, I pull rolls apart to eat them and even a slice a bread if I'm just eating a slice.  I've been known to squish it into a ball too.  No big deal..

I don't cut and squish my meat, but then again, I'm not trying to demonstrate that the meat I've just cooked is not dry.  I've had dry meat.  My mother cooked meat until it was shoe leather.  Her hamburgers shrunk down to sausage patties and her pork chopes were dry as a bone.  I never knew I actually liked them until I had them elsewhere.  Subsequently, I'm a medium rare girl.  Dad always cooked steaks on the grill so those were good.

Maybe those who hate the food smashing so much can give some ideas on how to present food to a TV audience to demonstrate that the food is not dry and hard.

Re: Squeezing and Smashing Food

I am sure it does not bother thousands of viewers showing the juicey vs dry, soft and crumbly vs dry and hard as a bone.

Maybe the food shows are not for you.

Re: Squeezing and Smashing Food

It is disgusting to watch the smashing of food.  Not appetizing in any way.  I don't do that when I am eating cookies or steak, burgers or brownies.  Could be why I seldom watch food programs any longer.
