Speaking of Pressure Cookers...

Seeing the posts about the TSV reminded me of a question I've wanted to post for a long time. I have had a CE oval 6 qt for a few years now and very rarely use it. My biggest issue was not knowing the amount of time it takes for something to reach the pressure. The cookbooks (including Bob Warden's) say how long the dish takes to cook, but that doesn't include the time it took to reach pressure before it starts counting down. Where do you find that information? For me, I like to know how long it will take for the dish to cook from start to finish so I can plan other side dishes and also know when I'll be putting the food on the table. Is it just something you learn over time and once you know how long that dish needs to cook, you'll know for future reference. I've been using it to cook corn on the cobb. The first time I cooked the corn I had no idea that it would take over 20 minutes to reach pressure before it started counting down the 7 minutes it needed to cook. And another question, where do you find the basket so you can elevate the vegetables while they cook? Hope it's not just me being stupid about the pressure cooker! Thanks!
