Help ! I 'm so bored with my usual food choices, and so is everyone else. I don't know if I'm lazy or just disinterested, but nothing sounds appetizing. I usually love yo cook and scope out new recipes, but , I've hit a wall. Do you have any suggestions ? I'm going to the market tomorrow or Friday and any ideas would be appreciated. We got take out tonight, but I can't do that indefinitely , LOL.

Lately, we've been eating light dinners:

Last night:

salad with romaine lettuce

cucumbers

tomatoes

avocado

hard-boiled eggs halved

(easy dressing: lemon juice, olive oil)

crackers:

smoked salmon (from Costco)

cream cheese

The entire prep took about 20 minutes.

I certainly wish I had some brilliant ideas, but I am just so tired of food in general. Tired of shopping for it, storing it, preparing it and even eating it. And I am one that loves to read cookbooks and try new recipes.

Maybe it is my age, I have been cooking for many years...........

I could have written this post...I am sick of trying to come up with an idea for dinner.

My husband likes ham salad so I picked up a small container and we had sandwiches for dinner. I really need to think of something decent for dinner tomorrow night.

We do salads, taco salads, quite often but sometimes I want more of a meal. During strawberry season, sometimes we just have strawberry shortcake.

BLT's sound good to me 😄 and a fresh fruit salad. Ok, 6 more people here have to plan a dinner for you, and you will be set for a week ...no planning..just go shopping for the foods...lol...problem solved.

@likeitis , I love BLT's , but the tomatoes are pretty sad. August I will load up on good tomatoes. However, turkey sandwiches with Lettuce and bacon sounds good.

I thought it was just me, I've never been a picky eater always liked just about everything but lately I'm not really interested in anything and this includes all the things I used to love.

Mango and avocado salsa

Grain based salads with fruit, onions, tomatoes and cucumber, lightly dressed with oil and vinegar and tuna on the side.

Taco salads with taco seasoned meat, fritoes instead of shell

Cold pasta salads--millions of recipes.

Pick up dinners of cheese, crackers, olives and pickles.

Cold poached salmon and seasoned rice, yogurt or buttermilk dressing.

Cold cucumber or potato and leek soup

Tomato sandwiches

Cold beef or turkey sandwiches on buns with hot pepper
