You want a recipe that will include four apples ....your dog... and your daughter???
Did you check online for The Jeffery Daumier Cookbook?
You know, lol, after posting this I wondered how long it would take before someone would see the way my title sounded. What a nut am I.

Oh thank you all for the recipe ideas. I think I will keep my daughter and dog out of the recipe, lol.

Crockpot applesauce is delicious and will have the whole house smelling good in no time!
If you want something sweeter, apple crisp couldn't be easier. My favorite recipe is from the Silver Palate cookbook. You can add some oatmeal if you want. I'm sure 4 apples would do just as well as 5.

Where in Michigan are you, Vicki? I am between Detroit and A2. You are absolutely right this is a bad winter even by Michigan standards. I can't remember the last time it was this cold for so long and we had this much snow! Enough already!!

I live outside of Seattle and woke up this morning to several inches of snow. Nothing compared to what the rest of the country is dealing with but enough to change my plans for the day! No trip up and down hills to get to Trader Joe's for me!

Love these apple enchiladas. It can be made with sliced fresh apples that have been cooked down a bit like for applesauce.
I live up near Traverse City and this winder has been nasty...way too cold and snowy. We do not have any place to put the snow anymore. My sons live outside of Detroit and they do not remember having a winter like this.
Ingredients:
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 (8 inch) flour tortillas - {Pre Cooked - Store bought is great for this, Just be sure to buy Flour Tortillas}
Spoon about one heaping quarter cup of pie filling evenly down the center of each tortilla.
Sprinkle with cinnamon (I have my cinnamon in a shaker bottle, so I just sprinkle some on each as I am rolling them)
roll up, tucking in edges; and place seam side down in prepared dish.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar and water.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour sauce over enchiladas and let stand 45 minutes ..
Don't rush the 45 minute resting time for the sauce on the enchiladas before baking,
this step helps to magically transforms the flour tortillas into a faux pasty dough
Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, or until golden
Each sauce recipe is enough for 6 Apple Pie Enchiladas
