Thanks for the feedback denisemb. I am glad you are happy with it's performance and that it's easy to use. That's too bad about the manual and the recipe cards. I too have Bob's cookbook (got a great deal on it at Amazon) but it's really a shame that Ming did't supply enough to get someone who is new to pressure cooking a good start right off the bat.
Well the good news is that it performs well. I love pressure cooking and am so glad I took the plunge. For me and my lifestyle, it's perfect.
Thanks again for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

I have used pressure cookers for many years, (electric and stovetop). That warning about foaming is true for all models. I always add a teaspoon of oil to those foods, (beans and grains, too) to cut the foam.
If my current electric PC dies, I would get the insta-pot. I like the stainless steel. I looked at the Vita-Clay pot, but the reviews repost a lot of cracking.

lacey, I have an InstantPot and couldn't recommend it enough. I had a CE prior and while it worked fine, I cannot believe the difference in the food that I prepare in the InstantPot. So much better and incredibly easy to use.

I bought this because the handle on my Puck Pressure Cooker broke and the company said, 'we don't make that anymore.' I asked what I was supposed to do with it (I had a pretty good idea but wouldn't be saying it because I'm a lady) and she said ,'oh, you can still use it.' Well, yeah, it still works, but as if it isn't heavy enough and awkward enough to use now! That's the second thing I bought of his with no help from their customer service. So I bought the Ming. I absolutely hate the recipe cards. Can't even read them without a magnifier!! When I was finally able to do this, I saw most were pork (I don't eat pork) and there was duck (omgosh are you kidding-how about a nice rabbit if you're eating ducks) and all kinds of things I would never cook, because we don't eat like that. All I wanted was a good old fashioned pot roast. But no. The pot works fine. I have that Marian PC cookbook and don't like anything in it, but thought I'd try the macaroni with chicken recipe. The chicken came out wonderfully, it broke up at the touch of a spoon. The macaroni all but disintegrated. A horrible gloppy mess. So that leaves Barnes&Noble and I will go there tomorrow hoping to find the cookbook that cooks what I want to make for my family.

Lacey can I add the potatoes and carrots with the meat or do I have to wait until the meat is almost done? Thank you

Can anyone help with my question. I wonder if I can put a pork roast and potatoes and carrots at the same time in the Ming pressure cooker. Thank you

If you are cooking a large roast, add the vegetables to the last 8-10 minutes, or they will turn to mush. You'll have to let the pressure go down and repressurize it to add the veggies.

Thank you so much lacey I will do that.
