I chose the multi-color Spurtles and haven't had a problem with the blue, red and orange - they're the ones I use most often. I haven't used the black one which is the largest/longest. I use them so often that I end up just hand washing them so none of them are sitting in the dishwasher. I have to say that these Spurtles are the handiest tools - so glad I ordered them.
