Second easiest Appetizer ever!

On a cookie sheet (I use a 1/4 sheet pan) melt one stick butter, cover with a thinly sliced lemon, top with 1-2 lbs raw peeled deveined shrimp, sprinkle top of shrimp with one packet Good Seasons (or store brand) dry Italian salad dressing mix, top with another thinly sliced lemon- bake 350 for 15 minutes-

I promise, even the LEMONS will get eaten!

Sounds great...thanks for posting.

Here is my easy appetizer: 2 cups sour cream add pepperoni which you have chopped in the food processor. I use pepperoni slices so that I don't have to worry about the waxy coating which you would need to remove before chopping.

Mothertrucker that sounds good. Did you use frozen shrimp thawed first?

Re: Second easiest Appetizer ever!

My favorite is to call the seafood market, ask them to deliver 2-3 pounds Cajun-cooked, deveined shrimp with the tails removed and to hurry because I am hungry. But then if it is a very busy day, I just go down and pick them up myself and prepare as follows.

  1. Combine 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper in a sealable plastic bag; shake to mix. Add shrimp and shake to coat.
  2. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Cook and stir shrimp in hot oil until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, about 4 minutes.
  3. Depending on how much shrimp you have, you may need to repeat this depending on size of your skillet. Have lots of beer on hand if there are men present!

I make this for dinner. It is delicious served over rice or spaghetti.
