I came across something new to me on Pinterest today.

It's a website of sandwich cake recipes.

There's something wrong about it in my opinion.  Have you ever seen these before?  They're not shouting "yummy" to me.

Click here for the website, but here are a few examples.

They look like a calorie over load.

Fun for having a group of ladies over for a luncheon.

Re: Sandwich Cakes?

[ Edited ]

These were popular a few years ago but they were made in a loaf pan, unmolded and sliced.

A particularly appalling Frosted Sandwich Loaf. Layers of bread, mayonnaise, tomatoes, relish, and lettuce, frosted with cream cheese. (Good Housekeeping, 1944)

Doesn't look appealing to me either.

Looks like those jello mold things from the 50's and playing with food.  Gross.   More baby food.

Nice to look at.  But, seems like a lost of work to make and wicked difficult to eat!

cauliflower cake

This is a Cauliflower and Parmesan cake which I just made a few days ago.  It was easy to make and tasted rather good.

Don't think I would make any of the others shown.   @GingerPeach  originally posted this in the resipes forum.
