I like to broil salmon with olive oil drizzled on it or marinate in teriyaki sauce 30 minutes before cooking.

Ooh, how is the Trader Joe's salmon? Is it Alaskan King Salmon or another? Wild or farmed? I like to find it wherever I can and the good thing is that if you find a frozen product that is vac sealed it should be of very good quality.

Chickenbutt, I have not seen any Alaskan King Salmon but it is wildcaught and I have seen Alaskan fish there. They have quite an assortment of vacuum packed fish.

They also want us to eat more wild caught salmon from the Alaska / Pacific North West, which makes me worry about sustainability, especially if more people increase their salmon consumption. At least one company is already producing genetically modified salmon, but it hasn't been FDA approved for sale yet.

I love a good grilled salmon with some simple seasoning and no condiments, but unfortunately my favorite salmon dish is the Miso salmon from the Cheesecake Factory. One portion has more than a day's worth of calories, so I have to plan in advance and compensate elsewhere. Getting a lunch portion helps, but it's still crazy.

We get the stuffed ones from Sams. Very tasty and not terribly expensive. They also come in a four pack like Costco, and we only use two at a time (1 each). The other two we freeze until the following week. Really don't want it more.

My mother used to make some salmon croquettes and they were wonderful. But she's gone and I have no idea how she made them.

Any suggestions for a salmon croquette recipe. I know they were like patties and lightly fried.

I eat salmon about 3X/week - I love it! It's probably my favorite 'meat'. My husband normally grills it or bakes it in the oven with just a bit of seasoning on it. The only place we buy it from is a fish market, and it's pricey. We eat out quite often, so that is usually my meal of choice wherever we go.

I would love to eat salmon 3 times a week but come on, the prices are astronomical especially in the off season. I live in the pacific northwest where salmon is here year long but I can't afford the $16 a pound it is now and if you buy it from Whole Foods, it's $10 a pound more!! I'll wait until the price comes down.

It's amazing how Cheesecake Factory can make the healthiest foods so UNHEALTHY! I would get their turkey burger - then I read that it's worse for you than their cheeseburger. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} Now I just completely avoid the restaurant!

I love fish and salmon, but can only eat it a couple times a month. I either broil it or use my George Foreman grill. McCormick's makes a salmon seasoning that is delicious. Then I squirt lemon juice on top just before eating. I couldn't eat it 3 times a week.

I also like to make salmon patties & fry them & use it on salads instead of tuna.

So how do you make your salmon patties - maybe they're similar to what I had as a child. Very anxious to find a good recipe.

We eat it twice a week. Brown it a bit in olive oil - add some liquid, cover and cook for about 10 min. Also we BBQ it often. Trader Joes has nice salmon stuffed with cous cous, but it's more fattening that way so don't eat it very often.
