I ordered from them during the Holiday's. We love the chocolate coconut clusters plus the Pangburn's sea salt millionaires. Yum. I also bought some mixed chocolate nuts, the nut, chewy & crisp. They were all good. No old ones. I ordered from them last year too. All good.

@Sooner. I have to disagree; I haven't noticed any changes over the years. RS also now owns and makes Whitman's Sampler. It sure beats any candy I've gotten on a TV shopping network.

I really love Russell Stover brand. I know it's just a grocery store type brand but I don't care. The chocolate is always very nice, fresh, and creamy.
I wonder if what you got at Walmart was just old. That is something I see A LOT at Walmart with food products. One has to really be careful to avoid old food products there.

I always found Russell Stover's chocolate to be hard...as if they put wax in it.
Hershey makes excellent boxed chocolate candies for Christmas.

@SharkE. Often, before a holiday, Albertsons has the Russell Stover BOGO free. I occasionally pick up this special and it's always just fine. You have Albertson's don't you?

One of my nephews used to work at Walgreen's. After Christmas, ALL the Russell Stover candy for the year was delivered.

If the candy was so hard and inedible and I couldn't eat it I would probably return it. For $2 item I wouldn't bother but for a $10 item I would want my money back.

Russell Stovers - the gift boxes, last time was not good at all. I was surprised. I was 'gifting'them at birthdays with cards and happened to have an extra and tried it, won't be purchasing that anymore. They have these cute 9 piece boxes that say 'Happy Birthday' or Congratulations.
I agree Aldi's has excellent imported chocolates. Nice variety and never disappoints. They have one thats just like the old 'Chunky' bar. Their milk Chocolate is very good.
