Re: Rastelli Sirloin steaks...TSV

They looked great, love the individual packaging etc.  When i calculated they were almost 20/lb?  Please feel free to correct me, it was a few days ago.  I can go out and have somebody else cook for that!

Re: Rastelli Sirloin steaks...TSV

Purchased the flat iron steaks on auto delivery.  Cooked two that night and they were tough... Thought I would try again and cooked another two the following week.  Same thing- tough and chewy... Cancelled the auto delivery but all his other steaks etc. were fantastic and will keep them coming as long as they are as they say they are..

I think "flat iron" steaks should be marinated before cooking them.  Check on-line for how to cook them.

We've bought "sirloin tips" at our local supermarket.  We tried them once plain and they were chewey.  We marinated them a second time and they were wonderful.

Re: Rastelli Sirloin steaks...TSV

We got one order of the flat iron steaks.  First two I cooked were tough and chewy.  Cooked two more the other day, but hit them with the Deni tenderizer first.  That's all it took to turn them into easy to eat and tasty steaks.
