I just did this at Christmas, i sent my sister some Cheryl's cookies from the Q.

And it was just a small "merry christmas, love...our names"

But you need to look for the message part if your doing it online. I couldnt find it when i was ordering and had to call in to ask about the message. Its on the same page as when your typing their address. Guess i hadnt looked around enough, LOL.

Yes, it wasn't exactly user-friendly!

I'm still trying to decide if I trust QVC to get it right. I may just have it shipped to me, and then I'll send it out myself.

Susan

The problem might be in the fact that QVC does not actually ship the cookies, Cheryl's does. If it was me, I might be leery of my friend getting the message. So, I would call the recipient and say, if anything is delivered to you in the next week or so.. I sent it. LOL! Or just call the day of delivery (check status) and let them know?

Yes, I know they came directly from Cheryl's. I would never order from them after the experience I had, and it made me leery of ordering anything as a gift from a company I don't usually do business with, such as QVC.

I think calling and giving someone a head's up takes a lot of the fun out of it, so I think I'll stick with companies I know and trust. Or send packages out myself! :-)

I have sent a couple times to my daughter. She did not receive note. However, one time I had note sent from another store, they wrote it cursive, and the writing was huge and sloppy! Yikes!

I remember one time you sent me something from QVC and there was no mention of why I was getting it. I thought 'well, this is really great but I'm pretty sure I didn't order it'. I remember checking my account for order statuses and being perplexed. I finally called them and had to drag the information out of them. ha!

Now, whenever I get something that I didn't order I always think of you. That last awesomely wonderful thing you had sent to me (not from QVC - my birthday) I would have known in a hot minute it was from you, even had you not let me know it was coming. I can't remember if it had a note in it. But I still have some! Smiley Happy

LOL! I remember that. You were like thinking you accidentally ordered something. If it was me I would be thinking "did I order in my sleep?". Because I did once. I ordered some Dr Bader books, hahahha, Had to send them back as I ordered 3 copies.

I have ONE more piece of my christmas goodie. I am saving it for a few weeks....if I can hold out!

I totally get the surprise thing. I have one more suggestion, take it for what it is worth. Try Neiman Marcus. They have the wonderful butter decorated cookies. They are 24 on sale for 31.50. I think. But I think you have to pay shipping, which may or may not be reasonable. .I can attest that they come with a nice note. Neiman copies the note, has you verify it, and computer prints it.

Oh no, last one. Smiley Sad I have 4 or 5 and that's probably only because I've been on a soft/liquid diet lately. I look at them now and then, though. Smiley Happy

Thanks for the suggestion. It certainly sounds like a much better system than whatever Cheryl's Cookies has going on!

I'm not a fan of iced cookies, but these look so pretty! :-)
