Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

Harumpf! Typing in a new address for the order didn't work either. I still didn't find a box for a message.

Oh well, I guess I have lived w/o the message feature for a while now.

Bill to ship to is still available. Packslip messages can only be done over the phone. Found that out by trial and error.

That's not what I was told when I contacted CS. And I found it online, got as far as typing in my message, and decided that I'll probably just have the item sent to me and I'll send it out myself.

I just don't trust that all will go well!

(Once your item is in the cart, click on "Options" under Gift Option, and it goes right to the field for a message.)

I don't know where Q puts with message but in 2013 for Christmas I sent the mini Jr.'s cheesecakes to a friend. Guess she didn't see the "from" part so she called QVC and said she didn't order anything, etc. Kind of a mix-up. I won't be doing that again. Also, I gave the same item to another family and neither gift rated a comment to me that they liked the cheesecakes. This past year, I gave different gifts and won't use QVC again for gifts.

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

Yes, its there. Look down further on the page where you put your name (or the name you who are sending too). I just did this in Dec 2014, so unless its changed since then??

It was confusing to find tho.

I received a gift from Cheryl's, and there was a strip on the label that was supposed to be removed to see the gift message underneath. But there was no message and no indication of who it was from. I had absolutely no idea who had sent it, and spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone with CS trying to find out. The rep said she didn't know and she kept trying to convince me that it had been sent anonymously. I knew that was doubtful, and after much angst, I finally found out that I was right. It had in fact been sent by a dear friend, and of course I wanted to know who had sent it so I could thank them.

So I really want to spare the recipient of the gift I'm sending the same frustration

From what I understand, QVC puts the message on the shipping label. Whether people notice it or not, is - I guess - another story!

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

I had sent baby gifts, from Kohl's, to a friend's DIL, wrote a message and paid to have it gift wrapped. Was any of that done? NO!!! It was a good thing I mentioned to my friend that a gifts were on their way. This friend had to wrap the gifts and advise her DIL who they were from. Called Kohl's to have my account credited for the gift wrapping charge which they did. Also, same gift -- if I spent a minimum of $30,I believe I would have gotten a $10 gift card or something like that. I was advised everything was in stock and after the order was processed they emailed me (which I didn't see until the next day) to say something wasn't available, bringing the total to under the $30 price. Another battle that was finally resolved. Talk about a PITA.

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

I have sent a couple times to my daughter. She did not receive note. However, one time I had note sent from another store, they wrote it cursive, and the writing was huge and sloppy! Yikes!

I just did this at Christmas, i sent my sister some Cheryl's cookies from the Q.

And it was just a small "merry christmas, love...our names"

But you need to look for the message part if your doing it online. I couldnt find it when i was ordering and had to call in to ask about the message. Its on the same page as when your typing their address. Guess i hadnt looked around enough, LOL.

Yes, it wasn't exactly user-friendly!

I'm still trying to decide if I trust QVC to get it right. I may just have it shipped to me, and then I'll send it out myself.

Susan

The problem might be in the fact that QVC does not actually ship the cookies, Cheryl's does. If it was me, I might be leery of my friend getting the message. So, I would call the recipient and say, if anything is delivered to you in the next week or so.. I sent it. LOL! Or just call the day of delivery (check status) and let them know?

I remember one time you sent me something from QVC and there was no mention of why I was getting it. I thought 'well, this is really great but I'm pretty sure I didn't order it'. I remember checking my account for order statuses and being perplexed. I finally called them and had to drag the information out of them. ha!

Now, whenever I get something that I didn't order I always think of you. That last awesomely wonderful thing you had sent to me (not from QVC - my birthday) I would have known in a hot minute it was from you, even had you not let me know it was coming. I can't remember if it had a note in it. But I still have some! Smiley Happy
