If that's the case, why can posters mention HSN, EVINE or any other store and it not be removed??????????????

Katie B:  the correct usage is "use these forums only for ..."    you have  only in the wrong place and the meaning changes because of it.

Someone started a thread in Shoes forum asking where to buy a certain brand.  She stated she wants to try them on before buying.  Some posters named department store chains that carry the brand, and those posts did not get deleted.  I tried to post a link to the shoe company's website where you enter a zip code and it tells you stores in that area that carry the brand.  This system wouldn't save my post.  There were no error messages.  This is so inconsistent.

Odd how people can name stores...how people can post direct links to clothing found on other shopping websites, but I can't post a link directly to that vendor's website. Once the poster finds out her correct size, she may be more likely to order from QVC in the future.

You're correcting the wrong person. KatieB was quoting the moderator, who I believe was quoting from Standards.

Once again, the complaints seem almost ridiculous.

QVC has a message board.

QVC makes rules indicating what can be posted.

Each one of us agrees to follow QVC's rules i order to participate.

Someone breaks the rules.

QVC enforces its rules and deletes the post.

I do not understand the disconnect here.  The only  complaint seems to be that others are able to sneak past and violate the rules so everyone else should.  Perhaps we should stop acting like children and keep our word by following the rules.

Sheesh -- this is beyond silly.

I don't consider the OP's concerns to be ridiculous--just asking for clarification or explanation.  It's odd how that standard is so narrowly enforced.  The majority of similar situations (advertisements for goods sold at other locations) are tolerated, yet the few codes aren't.  Sure, it's QVC's website, but one might think they'd want to be perceived as a fair organization that treats customers consistently.  It's not like there are only a few people flying under the radar with this standard; there are dozens of examples throughout the Community on any given day.  With this new format, I wouldn't be surprised if they just allowed discussions about items sold through their website.  HSN used to do that.  I haven't checked out their Community in a while, so I don't know if that's their current practice.

I don't understand your "disconnect"....  I think that if they have rules, the same rules should apply to everyone....  And I really don't consider myself or anyone else to be acting like children...   And I'm glad you're amused...

My post about Penzey's Pepper did contain the coupon code and conditions to get the pepper freebie.

It was removed because it contained the coupon code.  I get it and I don't.  As many have stated, Penzey's is not a QVC competitor.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

That is one thing I disagree with. This is basically a shopping board and we talk about stores and other shopping channels. If someone could help me save $5 on my next order of frozen food from Schwans, I don't see why they can't share a coupon code. That's totally different than those posts that start "found a miracle anti aging cure" and then they are for some product you can buy online.

Gosh,  I really hope they don't go that far.  It  would make it such a bore.
