I just got a call from QVC customer service. I was asked if I was shipping something to this person in SC. I said no and they said somebody had used my account and they will monitor my account for 60 days to make sure it doesn't happen again. I went in and cancelled the order and then went into my address book and found he had put his address as the permanent ship to address so I deleted that.

Thank Goodness the Q was on the ball....I have had my debit card and a credit card (not the Q) hacked...someone ordered something in the United Kingdom...$1000.00 worth...and the other was $400.00 at Walgreens and $90.00 at a supermarket...

I am so happy that was caught and stopped...I just don't understand how our info gets taken by total strangers....

Wow. Did you save the name & address so you know who did this to your account?

Did Q advise you to change your password? I think you should definitely change your password and make sure you choose one that is very strong.

Were you ever using a Wifi unsecured signal? Wow, scary and good for CS!

That card can only be used at the Q, so that makes me think that it's the Q that's been hacked! Do you have any other credit cards stored on the Q site to use for purchasing? If so, you need to be watching them as well.

While it sounds wonderful that they are offering to monitor your account for 60 days, the law says if THEY have been hacked they are obligated to provide 1 years worth of free credit monitoring (that's for ALL of your credit cards).

I have gotten a call like that from 2 different credit cards. I just listened to what they had to say. I told them I was not answering any of their questions because I did not call them & they could be anyone & I would call direct myself to see what was going on. I like that I get notified but you never know who you are talking to. Q would know if someone was using my card as I hardly ever use it. I deleted my other credit card from Q & their card is the only one listed. I do the same with SHQ & HSN only use their cards & their incentives.

Yikes! Good thing the QVC staff caught that.

Yes I changed my password. No I only use the card at home which is plugged directly into the router.

I think I only have the Q-card on the account. It has been so long since it was set up.

What bothered me was him setting himself as the primary and his shipping address as the permanent mail to address.

Yes she needs to change her password. They evidently had that or would not have been able to login to place the order. Q must have been hacked.

A bizarre card to hack- only Q purchases!
