Re: Preview of KitchenAid TSV on 03/09

I wonder if you can purchase the recipe book separately?  I'd like to get that.

I checked Amazon and it is available there.  I have a small binder recipe book that I got on one of my trips to Greenville.

I thought this was the KSM150 line which are USA engineered and assembled. I'm disappointed this is imported. I would be wlling to spend a bit more rather than buying an imported stand mixer. Another department store starting with "M" has a sale right now. I guess I'll head over there to see what they have.

I love the color choices they have.  I'm not in the market for one since I've got one (white), but the choices of color are great.

It says right on the QVC TSV page, 'Imported'. It would have taken QVC half a second to change that on the description. Assume until otherwise notified that it's not MIA.

Re: Preview of KitchenAid TSV on 03/09

I went to the KA website looking at their stand mixers.  As far as I could tell ONLY their two most expensive mixers (between $900 and $1000+) say that they're "Proudly made in Greenville, OH".  Therefore, I assume that ALL of the others are imported.  The TSV listing SAYS "Imported".  Question then becomes is it worth the KA price for a mixer that's made somewhere offshore?

I don't believe it for a moment.  If that were true, EVERY mixer described on their website would say so.  As I've said on another reply, the last time I looked, the KA website shows only the two most expensive mixers as being "Proudly assembled in Greenville, OH".  Until they change their website, I'll assume that the others are made somewhere offshore.

No.  From the KA website, it appears that ONLY the two most expensive "Commercial" mixers are assembled in the US.  ALL of the others are apparently assembled offshore.

The department store that starts with "M" specifies where their KitchenAid stand mixers are made and they all say "Engineered and Assembled in the USA" under product details.

O-MG!   They actually removed the 'Imported' from the description.  It was not replaced with MIA either - just nothing.

This kind of thing is troubling.  They are clearly trying to hide the fact that this item was made in China.   wow
