I don't eat it anymore, but I used to love my whirley pop. My favorite way to pop the corn was with coconut oil and salt. Sometimes I added some sugar or brown sugar (or even some splenda) to make kettle corn. Or toss in a handful (I forget the exact amount - 1/4-1/3 cup maybe) of red hot candies and pop them with the kernels. They melt and coat the popcorn with a yummy cinnamon flavor. Or you can drizzle melted chocolate over it ... it only takes a minute if you melt the chips in the microwave :-p

So, while I can't enjoy these anymore, someone please have some for me! Just because I can't have them doesn't mean that nobody else should! {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

I pop it in rendered bacon grease and clarified butter. Salt it with salt and chipolte powder. No extra butter.

I guess you have no concern about fat content in your arteries? Good luck with that diet.

Yes Mom.

Pop in canola oil. Pink salt. I am a purist. Smiley Happy

Btw, I.just bought Bob's Red Mill popping corn. It's the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

I don't even watch the Rachael Ray show, but I happened to catch it the day she did all the diiferent kinds of seasonings she puts on popcorn. Frankly, they all looked yummy. She cooked it in a pot with oil.

She also mentioned that to pop corn w/o oil, all you have to do is put some in a brown bag and microwave it...Well, we tried it and it works perfectly.. You can put whatever you want on it after it's popped..

It's my new favorite way to make it.

I like organic popcorn with a little himalayan sea salt. I don't like butter on my popcorn. I also like the popcorn Indiana white cheddar in the red bag.

The Himalayas are nowhere near the ocean. How do you get sea salt from there? I think someone is pulling your leg.

Per Alton Brown of the Food Network, All salt is from the sea. Yes, the Himalayans were once under the sea.

Himalayan Pink Salt is a pure, hand-mined salt that is derived from ancient sea salt deposits, and it is believed to be the purest form of salt available.
