....while I did succumb to the Vita Mix presentation and have had it for the past year, I still don't think it's worth halfway to $500. Yes, I use it. Yes, it kind of does most of the things it does on TV but it's just too expensive to be a sensible purchase...at least in my book.

In hindsight, I wish I'd bought a good blender for my smoothies and basic kitchen uses. If I want hot soup, I make it on the stove anyway and, as far as peanut butter is concerned, I haven't tried it yet. Maybe that will make me happy.
