For the second year in a row, the large can of PLANTER's MIXED NUTS have been a major disappointment. The side of the can says less than 50% peanuts and I have decided it is ONE PEANUT less than 50%. Disgusting - plus the almonds look old and are dark. That can was almost $15 at Sam's and is 49.999999% PEANUTS.

I use them in my "Nuts & Bolts" cereal mixture but will try to find another brand than Planter's.

I want to SCREAM at that purchase. Any suggestions for a better brand.

I buy the Planter's Pistachio Lovers Mixed Nuts from BJ's and there are are very few peanuts. The bulk container costs $7.99.

I think the Planter's Mixed Nuts have gone done in quality and you're right, it's chocked full of peanuts.

Have been buying Aldi's Deluxe Mixed Nuts and have been happy with them. And not one peanut in the bunch.

I go to Aldi's all the time - never thought about trying the nuts. Thanks for the "heads up". Won't buy Planter's again - quality is waaaay down in my opinion. Wish I could take them back to Sam's.

i generally dont buy the canned nuts anymore. i do buy the diamond flavored almonds, but for all other nuts i make my own mix from the barrels in our store.that way i make a nut/snack mix that I like .

Planter's has a Deluxe Mix with no peanuts as well, but the Aldi's I'm sure is cheaper.

Trader Joe's has a large selection of all kinds of nuts, and they come in clear cellophane bags so you can see what you're buying. I think their prices are also very good.

Edited to add: Also, I'd get Planter's 800 number from the can and give them a call and complain!

I get my nuts only at Trader Joe's. I once needed some quickly & bought some at the grocery store. Terrible taste! Only TJ's now.

I always get the Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts with NO peanuts. The regular mixed nuts have always been mostly peanuts. I haven't noticed a decrease in quality.
