That would be neat if the grocery store would core your pineapple for you. DH uses the pineapple gadget to core it. Works pretty good.

We have been having problems finding ripe watermelon.

DH finally picked up 2 that are good. We have already thrown 3 in the trash.

The way I check for ripe at the store is to pick out one of the leaves from the top center of the pineapple.  If it comes out easily, I take it. If it resists tugging, I leave it.

We have tried that method but not always ripe when you can pull out one of the leaves.

@Nightowlz   They say on watermelons to pick one that is white or yellow on the bottom.  Hard on these seedless ones, as they are green all over.

We like the seedless watermelons. Wish we could find some with the yellow or orange flesh. Have not seen them in a long time.

Our grocery store always has about 20 cored pineapple in the case.
