Politics? I don't think some people's objections are to her politics. In fact, I don't even know or care about her political points of view.

And I would guess that those who do object will not watch, cook, or buy her stuff. But this is a message board, and when someone starts a thread about a controversial person, it's naive to think that no one will voice their opinions -- whatever they may be.

LOL, no kidding. When a public figure makes a fool of themselves (IMO) what do people expect? You know I used to love Mel Gibson until his drunken racist rant. Now he just disgusts me.

Politics?

Last time I checked - not one political party is pro-racist remarks. Name the party that would throw a fundraiser with a plantation theme - dressing the "boy" servers like in pre-Civil War days. Not one party would throw that type of event...

I have no idea what her politics are - I just know she is a gross throwback and I don't enjoy her products. I actually was turned off everything "Paula" when I found out about Smithfield hams.

Oh, I hear ya! I wouldn't label her a career criminal either. But I do consider her despicable as a human being for her behavior toward others over quite a number of years.

Exactly!! People who think it was a one time thing use of a particular word lack information about what she was accused of doing over a number of years.
