Would an old garbage disposal go in the trash or on the street where you would put yard debris and larger household items?

Here it would go in the trash. They only want grass, leaves in the lawn can because they use it to make compost you can get free. The City probably rather we dispose of it at one of the recycle centers instead of the landfill but not sure. We put ours in one of those roll-off containers when we rented one.

I would think in the regular garbage would be fine since it is so small. Where we are currently they want old furniture, appliances, etc. put beside the dumpster. If you have anything else like that then I would put them out together. A special truck with a lift comes by and picks those items up. That is if they stay there long enough. People pick through most of it and it disappears long before the truck arrives. Kind of a new twist on recycling.

When I'm in doubt about disposing of something, I call the trash service and ask.
