Costco giving food samples again

[ Edited ]

Was there two days ago and was surprised to see really good things offered as samples.  That shopping perk was shut down, of course, by the pandemic, but Georgia has opened up again as illness and hospitalization rates have dropped.

I fell  for one item and brought home a box of frozen Amy Lu Cowboy Chicken Burgers with Roasted Corn, Poblano and Cheddar.

Simple cooking insructions, so I'm "all in" and we're having some for dinner tonight.

I might top them with caramelized onions, sauteed red and yellow peppers,  and a slice of melted cheese.

Yes, I noticed my farm market was also giving free samples again.  I'd missed them!  Yesterday, it was small slices of watermelon and cantaloupe.

Is there a real person handing out samples?

Not just a real person.  Many real persons handing out food.

Now we can expect the stores and parking lots to be more crowded, I suppose.

Nothing works better than  free food to boost store traffic!

Re: Costco giving food samples again

Just this week they had sample of the *itch'n Dip, yes, you can add that specific letter to the product, chipolte flavored and it's sort of runny, more like a dressing than a dip in my opinion.

We also had toaster grilled cheese sandwiches, yes, 2 minutes in the toaster, premade, frozen grilled cheese, and no the cheese doesn't run out.  The bread is thin, it;s almost like the 2 pieces of bread is like glued together so the cheese doesnt let loose.  I found the bread quite dry but it's an unique idea for 8 sandwiches around $8.89

Chicken sausages...didn't try

Cheese and salami...2 products put together with a toothpick

Just nice the samples are back even though you may pass on half of them.

Signs allover looking for demo people, starting at $15 an hour, I don't think that's enough money with all the kids I saw this week trying to grab at all the samples and of course you need mom's approval.  Unreal.

but that's about it, nothing really exciting.

Re: Costco giving food samples again

It's been a couple weeks since we have been there and the one we go to still hadn't put the food court tables back.

We liked to get our lunch or a snack and just people watch, checking out what everyone has in their carts that week.

Miss it!
