Today, Evine has an electric skillet deal with good reviews. Just an FYI. I'm starting to really enjoy their kitchen shows-not as smooth as QVC, but some laughs!

Thanks for the head's up, I had no idea she was on today.  I enjoy watching her shows, I wonder what else she brought with her this visit?

Re: Ok, another TSV head's up

I just ordered Lorena Garcia's electric skillet.  It looks great, like you can make anything in it, from tomato sauce to frying shrimp or breakfast stuff.  I bought her cookware last year when it was their TS and I must say it is wonderful; I love it.  Light, easy to clean, and the interior stays white no matter what you cook in it.  I also got the Ming Tsai set of 2 pans (large frypan & griddle) and they are really great, too.  Just sayin'. . . . .

Re: Ok, another TSV head's up

I just watched an hour of the TS....looks real nice...I called to see if it was part of the Jan 31st return policy....it is not...

I was going to buy two of them for my sons...but they have a lot of cookware....and I do not know if this skillet is part of their collection...They are great cooks...along with their wife and girlfriend....(sure didn't get it from me...lol)...

I digressed....the hour was almost done and I decided to get them each one anyway...along with the tool set...I bought the red...also bought each of them the whisk....

Its either going to be a great Christmas...or a dissapointment...

Re: Ok, another TSV head's up

I've watched the presentations all day and finally caved in tonight.  I had/used a big electric skillet for many years.  (It came with the huge pots & pans collection we were given as a wedding gift.)  After about 30 plus years it bit the dust.  I will probably use this one mainly for frying chicken (food I love but seldom prepair).  While it's just the two of us at home, I do cook for a crowd now and again.  I think this will be perfect for quanity cooking.  I'm already looking forward to getting it home!  I bought a red skillet and the set of utensils, in red, too.

I've still got mine from 1975, that I never use. Can't reach it to get rid of it. I'm surprised they don't have to give those things away.
