Diebetics can't have sugar, so it's perfect with me. I had strawberry's from Sams last week that were sweet., you can also add Equal.

@SharkE   Eating sugar does not cause diabetes, but when you have diabetes, sugar and lots of other carbs should be avoided and/or eaten in controlled amounts.

All of my siblings have diabetes.  I am the only one who doesn't have it.  Diabetics have to work around eating sweets with diet sweeteners  or do without them altogether. I know which route I would choose.

@SharkE

The bread and rolls you bake are just as bad to spike blood sugar in a diabetic as a strawberry pie.

My husband has been diabetic for close to 30 years; the VA took accountability for that due to the food they fed him in the Army that attributed to his diabetes and heart condition.  I had a blood glucose reading of 121 about 15 years ago, and that's all it took to get a diagnosis of diabetes in my chart.

NOTHING is off limits for us as far as food; we eat bread, we eat potatoes, we eat cookies, cake, and pie.  I drink Coke.  Our accountability comes with limiting our indulgences, but I will not live the days of my life avoiding foods I like, or taking meds to keep me here one day longer than what has been planned for me.

Re: Oh My, Strawberry Pie !

[ Edited ]

My husband convinced me to make a strawberry pie today, so I did.

Here's the first one this year.  All it needs is whipped cream to serve it.
