@Mothertrucker wrote:but I trust you guys..I get so many scams from so many places banks, cliaming to be mine, even my ISP ( gotta love that one! they at least put it in my SPAM file)
Anyway, they always ask you to up date your credit card "Your last charge didnt go through, blahbalh blah.. please click on this link to update your info.." Yeah,RIGHT..
Anyway, I got one from QVC, someone I actually DO have credit cards on file wiht.."one of your cards is set to expire in one month, etc"
Does the Q actually DO this? Is this legit? i suppose I can go and see if I have a card that is about to expire, but I guess I wondered if this is something that others are receiving...
anyone?
That's Ok, half of em are off topic any more. LOL

Normally, your bank cards have the expiration date on the card. Always go to the company itself, call the number on the back of your card. Ask them, if they have closed your account, you will know without an email notice. Emails from retailers are usually for sale notices, changes in your account status comes in the mail.-----------tedEbear

It doesn't seem like the OP was referring to a Q card but one of the cards she has on file.
I wouldn't click on anything in the email but go directly to QVC to check if one of your cards is due to expire.
Yes, I think she was referring to QVC. Her words were in part: "

Very interesting this post came up. I purchased a item from Q today on the ITKWD segment.
Immediately, I got a text from Bank of America a charge using my debit card NOT swiped but by phone or online. I checked and YES it was my Q purchase BUT within 3 minutes I got another text I had another Unswiped charge made with my debit....Yikes, it was from a store in Oregon! I live in FL -- not a "small charge" either ...
I immediately contacted BOA fraud unit they had already shutdown my card after the 3 attempts to use it at this same store.
This Q charge was first time I've used it since last week at the grocery store.
I don't know if this was a coincidence but I used Q automated phone ordering system. Of course, I love the texts BOA provides everytime the card is used but more importantly, I wonder if Q has a compromise within their system.

I highly doubt Q had a breach. I would expect to see TONS of posts/threads if this were the case.
I check my accounts everyday and saw no unusual activity. I did place an order yesterday as well.
I have been with QVC since they were CVN and have used many different credit cards.
I have never received an email notifying me that a card was about to expire.
I would delete that email. I agree with others, just go to your 'Account' and see what cards are expiring.
These email spams are so ANNOYING! Some spams even come from your real friends, using their REAL, ACTUAL email addresses! The creeps get into someones contact list and send out spams to everyone in there!

There seems to be a problem with the Q site right now.. I thought I would check on my credit cards, like everyone suggested, but I can't get on there..

FYI: yes I highly doubt it was compromised from Q I've never gotten emails or other communication to update any of my info.
As I'm thinking back I purchased gas over in Venice, FL swiping it thru gas station pump.
Who knows just glad I got immediate text before they got any further!
