I have the Ninja and I absolutely love it!   It makes the best coffee of any maker I have had.. I do use cream... and I use it cold and I have no problem.... The coffee is so hot that I can't drink it immediately... I have to cool it a little bit or I will burn my tongue.  So, I am not sure why some don't find the coffee hot enough....

I also drink iced coffee and the speciality drinks and I love that I can do them all with this machine. I love the different sizes... and it actually fills each size exactly as it says it will.... the single cup.... the larger travel mug....fills perfectly on that setting... no more using 2 or 3 kcups just to fill a travel mug.

I would say however, that if you don't use the different sizes and the different types of coffee drinks... the Ninja would be a bit of an over kill if what you prefer is to just make a pot of coffee and that's it.. My mom for example... a big coffee drinker but she has a Bunn coffee maker and makes a pot and she and her SO sit and drink black coffee off and on all day. And that is plenty for her.

So, IMO.... the Ninja runs circles around the Keriug.... but if all you want is a decent cup of coffee with no frills.... you can get a coffee maker cheaper that will fill your needs. but if you like the different sizes and different types of coffee drinks... the Ninja is perfec.

I don't have this but am considering it.  I do have a Keurig, and I do put cream in my coffee. It doesn't stay hot very long so I just nuke it on high for 30 seconds. I even have to nuke the black coffee after awhile, it never stays hot enough for me to the bottom of the cup.

Hi docsgirl!  Happy New Year to you too!  I hope you enjoy your Cuisinart coffeemaker when it arrives.  I'm glad you talked to a friend who also likes it .  I only wish the clock on it would light up... it's kinda hard for me to see it when I'm programming it.  Other than that I love it.  You can check out Folger's website to see how to make different coffee drinks.

Hi katieqr, adding Cream to coffee for me is different than when I add Milk.  If I use cream, I use a lot less but when I use my 2 % milk, I use a lot more milk than cream.  Maybe that is the diffence for me.  The Ninja did not work out for me, I'm glad you are happy with it.

Hi misty,

My Cuisinart arrived yesterday.  It's out of the box, parts have been washed, and it's ready to go.  Because of all the functions, I want to study the user guide before using it.  I hope to program it tonight and wake up to a hot cup of coffee tomorrow morning.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Thanks, again and have a great day.   docsgirl

What is the Cuisinart that you purchased?  Is it a regular coffee maker, or one that takes the K cups?

Hi docsgirl, don't forget to run just water thru it first, I think the instructions tell you to do that.  I hope you like it!  Enjoy that hot coffee tomorrow morning and have a good day!

Hi RedConvertableGirl, the coffee maker we are talking about is the Cuisinart 12 cup Programmable Coffee Maker.  It does not take Kcups.  It is a regular coffee maker.

I FELL IN & OUT OF LOVE WITH IT....

YA"LL...I have been searching for a taste like this for years. But like others, It really isn't HOT enough. You have to pre heat the water,& even then it'll get too cold with cold milk or cream, so I took to using the frother to kind of warm up the milk or half & half...AND WOW,THAT is addicting.

NOW however, after using it mostly for one cup,(It's 3 weeks old). It is stuck & will not fill the glass coffee carrafe no matter what setting is selected. It is stuck on one cup. I got mine at samsclub. It was a GREAT deal. $99 after the instore $60 off coupondeal. I love the taste soo much I am drinking the "expresso style" cup with swiss miss in the mix in order to stand the strenghth. I used the frother to mix it up...I HATE that I am going to have to return it. I unplugged it overnight, & this morning It got like a little more than a large cup into the glass pot, shoooot!!

LOVE YA"LL ,

I have a Keurig, and I love it, however when I need to purchase a new coffeemaker, I will try the Ninja......I have seen the infomercials, as well as the demos on QVC, and I like the variety that it shows......
