Re: New Mini KitchenAid Mixer

I'm taking up for 'Sooner' if she wants 10 mixers that's her business.

I don't drink, smoke or honky tonk if my biggest vice is my kitchen helps, then, not hurting anybody. Not asking anybody to pay my bills. LOL

Sharke that's like me and my two washing machines.  Some say it is overkill but I say who cares, I like to collect laundry appliances.

Re: New Mini KitchenAid Mixer

Everybody in my community has 2-3 refrigerators/freezers. LOL Even just the 2 of us we have  the big one in house and we bought a tall vertical one for the garage to store ' sale specials' in.

I got a Cuisanart and a Kitchen aid full size mixers on my counter. LOL

Sooner - I think you should just  build another room in your house.  That will fix everything!  Smiley Happy

Yes it would!  GREAT idea!!!  Are you sending cash? Remember, I'm inheriting your collection!  LOL!!!!

I just took a load to the Salvation Army today.  But I need to take another, and another. . . I am getting rid of cookbooks mostly.

Wow, this would be a very interesting mixer for a smaller family.  I just checked BB&B and the Kitchenaid Team lists the wattage at 325 running on 120 volts.

What I really like is that you can use whatever Kitchenaid accessories you have with this smaller version (except for the ice cream maker and the heated bowl attachment).

Very interesting, I'll have to go scope it out next time I am around a BB&B.

You can't swap out the hook, beater or whisk either, they are smaller on the mini.

I had the standard size and was so happy when I got it but soon realized it took up too much space on the counter and I had to store it on a shelf but it was also very heavy for me to pull out when I wanted to use it, so it sat taking up shelf space.  I gave it to my daughter when she moved out on her own.

I was thrilled when I saw the mini and did buy it.  For my tiny kitchen, it's a perfect size and so much lighter than the original.  I've used it a few times and I'm pleased with it's performance.

Re: New Mini KitchenAid Mixer

It's 20pct smaller and 25pct lighter. I think it will appeal to people who have small kitchens. But even my regular Artisan is not so good on a batch of bread dough.(2 loaves--using six cups of flour and 2 cups of liquid--standard recipe that makes 2 regular size loaves.) The head tends to jump and I have to hold it down to knead the dough. I think it would be fine with a single loaf (1 cup liquid and 3 cups of flour to make one standard loaf.)

Yep.  for bread and big batches you really need the big 6 qt. ones!  The Artisan is great for many things, but it doesn't do well with big bread dough.

I'm so happy to hear from someone who actually has one.  I can't wait to see them (going to look in the heater closet to check the available space. . . LOL!!!)

@Nuttmeg Yes, we have a generator!  We get ice storms here in Oklahoma!!!!!  LOL!!!
