Hello all! Looking for advice from the cooking experts on this forum. I am shopping for a wedding present. My niece has asked for a mandoline slicer- the one on her registry has not gotten good reviews. I was wondering about the differences between the QVC TSV and a mandoline slicer. I have to say the TSV looks tons safer to operate. What does a mandoline do that the TSV won't do? If a mandoline is really superior, what brand would you recommend? Would safety gloves be a good idea to add to the present?
Thanks so much!
PS. I think I might buy the TSV for myself. My mother used to have a something similar and it was great. Wish I had kept it!
