Re: My first QVC food order.

[ Edited ]

@house_cat How unfortunate for your first food order to be a big disappointment.  I have been tempted to try those Bagels, but have a local place which makes such a great bagel  I always think of that when I see the presentation.

For the record, I have had pretty good luck with QVC foods.  The following brands have never let me down: Cheryl's Cookies, Junior's Cheesecake, Stuffin' Gourmet, KC Steaks, and Corky's.

Re: My first QVC food order.

I've ordered several food items from QVC... and not reordered any of them.  Nothing tasted really bad, just not really good.  And the prices are too high.

I've purchased the french croissants and the David's cookies (both uncooked) - they are delicious and have purchased several times!

Seems like a fair review - you made clear what your expectations were. In the Midwest, we might like them.

Re: My first QVC food order.

Yep, they’re just a big bagel, nothing special.   I pawned ours off on teacher daughters boyfriend.

The popcorn here is also nothing special.  Yes, most of it pops, and I found no hulls, but it’s just popcorn.

The chocolate covered pretzels were just fancy looking chocolate covered pretzels I didn’t have to make.

The nut mix with those big cashews were mostly a jar of dried cherries and raisins, not cashews.

I like gifting the individual wrapped cookies, kind bars, and coated apples, and my family loves the chicken wings and potstickers, so those are worth my money.

That’s a bummer on your first food order.   I did my first food order a couple weeks ago when the TSV was the Heartland chicken fried chicken.  I’m really happy with them.   I baked a couple last night and put them in buns with lettuce, tomato, mayo and a couple pieces of bacon.  Really good!

Yum!! Been buying them for years, they and Rastelli's have good meat.

Re: My first QVC food order.

There's a place called Bagelicious about 5 min from me. Made fresh every day, big & absolutely scrumptious in a multitude of flavors. You can have lunch there too, all sorts of stuff on the bagel of your choice. You can take them home still warm and by the next day, regardless of how you store them the staleness is already setting in. You can stretch them to 2 days if you must, toasted of course but after that.......out they have to go.

OP is right - they are like rubber.  I tried the flat ones  too....... offered once & only once according to chef.......nothing worked - not microwave to warm - toaster made them tooth breaking........last of them met the garbage can Thurs night.

Re: My first QVC food order.

I have ordered very little of the food offered but I can see how people would order it for a treat if they lived in a rural area where they did not have that many choices.   I used to order the original crab cakes they sold until something awful happened to them.  I also ordered Maine lobster from Lobstergram - I still order that but directly from Lobstergram.

Re: My first QVC food order.

re: M63330  And I absolutely love these bagels!  In fact, I've ordered them twice in the Combo.  The Everything is my favorite.  I notice now they're all on Wait List.

My freezer is filled with QVC food, mostly the Kansas City and Sweet Sam's items.  Everything is delicious, and I'm thinking about putting the Kansas City ham on auto-delivery.
