One thing I am is a "messy" baker but a very coordinated one.

I have this set of glass bowls and another set of pampered chef prep bowls bought over 25 years ago.  Use them almost everyday!

Before I start I have all my ingredients measured out & ready to use.  After I add ingredient I put dish in sink.

Sounds great but when I'm baking I go from prep of cake/cookie to preparing topping.

By the time I'm done I have a full sink of dirty dishes ready for dishwasher.  

I'm just the opposite when cooking  I clean up as I go along.

This week I'm  making italian bowtie frappes (italian bowtie cookies) for a cookie exchange. I guarantee flour and powdered sugar will be everywhere!!!

Mistakes in baking ...  When I was a kid my Dad, who is not a baker, decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies.  They never spread out and were like baked "jaw breakers."  My mom kept wondering what had gone wrong but, me and my siblings thought they were the best!  We could gnaw on a cookie for half an hour.
