My first name is Ellen and middle name is Ruth so I combined the 2 names for my name on the forum. My instructions didn't mention vinegar. I think you may get more life out of your mini if you get the descaling solution from WalMart that Keurig makes and follow the instructions that tell you to combine it with water and let it sit in the machine for 30 min. Then do it again and the 3rd time use all water and no descaling solution. For some odd reason I feel compelled to have you fix your coffee brewer. LOL Maybe your instructions are different from mine. These minis are not cheap for sure. I got mine on sale for $ 80.00 and they usually are $ 100.00.

Several posters made comments as if the manufacturing of Keurig Minis might be ending.  Now you have me worried!  Do you know something I don't?

No, I don't actually know anything.  But if you check for Keurig on the Q website, you will see that there is hardly anything available anymore and they used to have a lot.  Also there is much more competition out there now.

@elruth

Thanks for your suggestion regarding the cleaning solution.  I will look into that.  Back in 2010 when I bought mine, they did not have a solution; hence the distilled vinegar.  But the process of descaling was the same.

 I am afraid my little mini is beyond my reach now.  I put it on a shelf in the trashroom and am sure one of our talented staff will fix it for himself if that is possible.

@ID2

The idea of using a toothbrush never occurred to me.  But I will use one from now on.  Thanks for giving me such a great idea.

@CLEM Thanks CLEM.  Maybe I'd better pick up a spare!

My Keurig mini lasted around 6 years also --had used it every day.  I did have a back-up mini since I had purchased another one at Kohl's when it was on sale and got 30% off too and free shipping.  (first one was from QVC)    Don't think I'll get another back-up since they keep changing styles, having more sales, etc.   Do not plan to ever be without a Keurig though.

I have purchased at least 10 Keurig brewers, of all sizes, and EVERY one of them has died.  I drink a lot of coffee; not one of the brewers has made it through the warranty period.  Keurig has ALWAYS been very gracious about replacing them, but it is something I just have grown to accept.  My gripe with Keurig is that when they introduce new models, they usually do not accept the K cups from the previous model. You have to empty the coffee into a k cup adapter to brew them and that is a pain.

I must say that Keurig has addressed some of the design flaws of their brewers. The brew nozzles get clogged easily. Keurig has begun to provide a cleaner nozzle with their brewers that helps with the problem. If you search youtube, you will find many videos posted by owners who have had issues and resolved them,

I don't mean to knock Keurig. I still buy their brewers, but i do so fully expecting to have issues.
