Do You Have The Breakfast Sandwich Maker K44482? Hamilton Beach One?

If you have this, do you like it, use it?  Can you use frozen English muffins for the sandwiches or do you have to thaw them first?

It looks interesting and gets good reviews, but I'd like to get some experienced opinions!

THANKS!

@Sooner I've had mine for quite awhile & love it, I've never used frozen English Muffins, have also used biscuits, makes a good sandwich pretty quickly.

BTW the Q price is a good one even with the S&H

Hope you enjoy it if you order it

I have had it for a while and love it (didn't buy it at the Q).  So easy to use and clean up.

Have never used frozen muffins.

I noticed the lady demonstrating the product had trouble with getting them out because the bottom always slid to the side.  Do you have a problem with that?

Thanks for the answers.  I guess I could nuke the muffin a few seconds to start the thawing.

So you put the egg and the top of the muffin in the top section?  Very interesting but the short time they allowed didn't do a very informative presentation.  Bacon must be precooked I guess.

Is the silver a good color?  The IMPORTANT stuff huh?  LOL!!!

I've had one for a couple of years.  Used it a lot at first, then kind of got burned out on it as I used it too much.  That person who demoed it was talking and going so fast, she was kind of making a mess out of it.  Works great when you slow down.

All meats must be pre-cooked.  You can buy bags of frozen sausage patties which are just the right size.  It's a good little appliance that doesn't take up much room.

I did not see this demo and do not have one but I make breakfast sandwiches without one. I bought an egg ring that makes an egg the perfect size for an english muffin.  Cook the bacon or sausage in microwave and toast muffin.

Re: Do You Have The Breakfast Sandwich Maker K44482? Hamilton Beach One?

I first got the West Bend breakfast sandwich maker years ago. It is a toaster with a spot for steaming your egg and heating your meat of choice. I then picked up the Hamilton Beach version last year on clearance for a bit less than this, but for the double sandwich maker version. It is great. I crank them both up and make my breakfast english muffin (Tom's multi-grain), egg, turkey sausage, and cheese for a few weeks and freeze them. I wrap them once cooled and put the cheese on them. I wrap them in parchment or wax paper and put them in a quart freezer bag. I just warm it up in the microwave when I get to work! I love them both! I would make a freezer full for the quickest breakfast or make it fresh each day. It takes 4-5 minutes in the Hamilton Beach and about 3 or so for the West Bend version.

I think it was because she was trying to remove items from the back.  I just bought one and plan on removing my items from the normal position which is from the front.

I did the same thing that I bolded in red above.  LOL  We had them for breakfast and then sometimes for supper.  We got burned out too.  Duh!

I'm glad I got it though.  We use it now just once in a while.  It is awesome really.  I got the double one at WM.  I liked it because it has a timer on it.  Plus we could eat at the same time since they were both done at the same time.

For some reason, these sandwiches taste better than if you just cook each thing and put it together.  I think it is the was the egg cooks onto the top half of the muffin?

They are really good!
