Mrs Prindables TSV Apples

[ Edited ]

Just wordering if anyone ordered the Mrs Prindables Apples when they were a TSV last month?  Are they really good this year?  I'm hoping so...

I must've had an appointment that day because I missed out & just NOW got my gift orders placed. They're supposed to arrive by December 22.  I always send a set to each of my twin cousin's families. They both have kids ranging in age from 6 to 16 and they've always loved them!  The kids even like the little gift boxes that come with lol.  I'm just hoping the toppings are  good with this set.

Re: Mrs Prindables TSV Apples

I bought them last year and never will again. I gifted them to my nieces' and nephew's kids when we saw them on NYE weekend.  The apples were still within the freshness range, according to the advertising and my December delivery date. Everyone thanked us but we never heard any positive feedback. I mentioned doing a repeat this year and my sister said. "Please don't". I got the message loud and clear. They obviously weren't very good inside even though they looked good on the outside.  This year I bought the kids throw blankets instead.

@JeanLouiseFinch    I sure hate to hear that!  I've given them for the last several years & the only time I didn't get the TSV set was last year. I chose a different pack up & I don't think they liked them as well because the toppings were different.  I hope 🤞 these don't turn out to be rotten in the center....they ended up costing $72 each plus tax.

@cheriere - We order the triple chip apples every year and have never had problems at all. Our batch this year was delicious—in fact, I just ate the final one on Saturday night from the order delivered on 11/17 and it was still fresh and tasty.

Thank you so much for letting me know 😊 That makes me feel better about having just ordered them.  After all these years of sending the apples as gifts, I've actually never had one myself. They always look delicious to me

Re: Mrs Prindables TSV Apples

@cheriere - Just thought I'd add one more reply regarding your mention of apples rotting in the center: A few people have expressed concerns about that in the forums over the years, but there's a big difference between the little line of brown in the core that is obviously going to be there when the inserted stick exposes the apple to air versus an apple that is actually bad. I don't know of anyone who eats the core, so hopefully people are smart enough to compare that little line (if it's there—it isn't always) to the rest of the apple interior that is still fresh and good.  Smiley Happy

@loriqvc   lol I know exactly what you mean. There's always gonna be people making silly complaints.  Perhaps after I'm finished with my dental work, I'll order some for myself to try. I KNOW I'd love them!  My family who receives them from me every year always looks forward to them. If they're happy that's all that matters to me 😊

I haven't purchased Prindables apples in years, but I do have a suggestion for those that might want to buy individual apples similar to these and really good too!

If you have a Wegmans near you, they have several Large apples like the Prindables caramel apples and they're available coated in milk chocolate or white chocolate  with various topping such as nuts, sprinkles, candy pieces etc.   They are individually boxed in a plastic container with ribbon on them.  I've had them and they're delicious!  I plan on buying a few for Christmas gift giving.
