Just purchase a jar of mincemeat pie filling, then all you need to do is make the pastry. None Such is a good quality brand, also Cross & Blackwell makes a very good mincemeat. If you like liquor they even sell it with the rum and brandy already added, or you can always add that yourself. You could make your own, but it's pretty time consuming and some of the jarred brands are delicious. The Englishteastore(dot)com sells already made small mince pies/tarts. I love mincemeat pie with some warm Bird's custard, we always had it at holiday time.

I found a recipe on youtube...my go to for new recipes that I want to try.

The chef uses a jar of store bought mincemeat and adds to it...extra this/extra that.

I got all the stuff already to try it.

You can buy a jar of Nonesuch mincemeat. Just add chopped apple, peach and orange to it along with currants (or raisins) if you like them. Add a bit of rum or brandy if you prefer, and voila you have a great mincemeat pie.

You can also use this mix for mincemeat cookies or muffins.

Yeah, I see those big jars of mincemeat at Walmart guess I'll get couple of jars throw in shell and another crust on top of that. Just want a piece or 2 husband won't eat it anyway. Not spending close to 20 for a bakery pie that I won't eat all of.

I love mincemeat pie but haven't had any for years. I worked with a young woman whose dad got a huge pie every Christmas as a business gift. He didn't like it so she'd bring it to work. It was super good; not many people liked it so I ate more than my share.

Mincemeat pies...brings back memories of my grandma and dad. Grandma made it for the holidays along with raisin sauce for ham. I like both but have not had either one for years.
