I don't recall enjoying a show so much and I actually sat through it from beginning to end.  What a refreshing program - lots of giggles - lots of interaction and a great combination of Q staff.  It was just delightful.    Thank you - more new programing is certainly appreciated.

I agree @fthunt! Enjoyed the show. I think they should do that more often.

Re: MaryBeth & Rick Kitchen Show

Where is the recipe they teased us with an ingredient at a time throughout the show? I think it was Meatballs with Wild Rice, Egg, and a few other ingredients? I can't seem to find this recipe anywhere? Has anyone else seen it?

Re: MaryBeth & Rick Kitchen Show

Ill be honest Rick doesnt seem to know how to cook. I seem to recall him saying his wife does all the cooking. The only host more incompetent in the kitchen would be Shawn Killinger. She only does take out. Some of these hosts who do kitchen shows havent seen kitchen in years and wouldnt know a measuring cup from a garlic press !

Mary Beth should have her own cooking show. I don't understand why Rick is there at all.

Here's the link to the recipe:

http://community.qvc.com/t5/Blogs/What-s-Cookin-with-Mary-Beth-amp-Rick-Minnesota-Wild-Rice/ba-p/346...

And the recipe, if you don't want to dig for it:

Minnesota Wild Rice, Swedish Meatballs

Meatballs

1 Cup cooked wild rice
1 lb meatloaf mix   (see ** below)
¼ cup whole milk
1 egg
¼ cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
Dash nutmeg
Dash allspice
Dash cayenne

Sauce
4 Tbsp butter
6 Tbsp flour
3 ½ cups beef broth
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worchester sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Serve with Lingonberry preserves

  1. Cook wild rice according to directions on the package and cool. Heat oven to 375* degrees.
  2. While rice is cooling, mix together all other ingredients. When rice is cool, mix into meat mixture.
  3. Roll into 1 inch balls and bake on greased sheet pan for 10 minutes.
  4. In a heavy gauged sauce pot, melt butter and add flour when melted. Cook until it pulls from pan.
  5. Add half of the beef broth and simmer until it starts to thicken and then slowly add remainder of the beef broth. Simmer until there is no floury texture. Add sour cream, Worchester sauce, and Dijon mustard…mix well.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add meatballs to sauce and simmer for 10 minutes. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Makes 26 meatballs and 4 ½ cups of sauce

Oh...to the person asking what meatloaf mix is - it's a meat mixture of ground beef, ground pork and ground veal and is sold in the supermarket where the ground beef is....or I'm sure you can probably get it at the service meat counter at many supermarkets.

 @lOVETOSHOP  Thanks for your explanation.

Re: MaryBeth & Rick Kitchen Show

Actually, I like the two of them together.  Does anybody remember the cook-offs they had?  That was before David became the host of ITKWD.  They would sell kitchen items, but also cook a recipe.  In one show it was Mary Beth vs Rick and when Rick won, he handed Mary Beth a bucket of water and a mop to clean the kitchen.  In the final episode I remember David vs Rick which David won.

I think there is more to Rick than meets the eye.
