Re: Mad Hungry Spurtle Set Nylon

I don't own a spurtle.  I noticed these say they are nylon covered in silicone.  I have converted all my utensils to silicone, because the don't harm the finish of my cookware.  Silicone also cleans well.    My utensil crock is full, and right now I don't feel the need to add anything more.  If I wanted one, I would choose the set you showed.

Re: Mad Hungry Spurtle Set Nylon

I have found that my wooden spurtles are way better than anything silicone or nylon and they don't harm any cookware finish either.

I have the wood spurtle set and LOVE it!  The smaller one gets used the most.

New to spurtles.  What is the diff between these and Teflon coated/plastic utensils?

Re: Mad Hungry Spurtle Set Nylon

With a nylon core, it would perform like nylon coated with silicone.

It looks good, I don't have the wood ones.

What was the price?

Do you know if they have them in the stores?

Re: Mad Hungry Spurtle Set Nylon

The other reason I don't use wooden tools is I want to run them through the dishwasher to clean them.  The hot water and heat in the dishwasher sanitizes them, and the sensitive skin on my hands doesn't have to go in the dishwater.

@Nuisie1 When I ordered last night it said not available in my store. If you get online now the only option is to have it shipped free.

@software The set was $19.98 plus free shipping. I did have to pay the tax.

I edited the title to reflect Silicone with Nylon Core.
