I like the idea regarding the convenience aspect.   However, the level of sodium in one packet is quite troubling to me,  I also would not give this to our family pet for the same reason.

Lonolife is sold in my local grocery store.  I thought it would just be a bolder version of regular broth.  I was wrong.  Couldn't stand it.  But, now that @Kachina624 has mentioned that her dog loves it, I may get some and see if my cat can stomach it.  He can't have regular cat food, but I've read that broth is different and well tolerated by cats with stomach issues. I'm trying to encourage him to eat more.

@Icegoddess , the broth is high in sodium, and all kinds of seasonings. I don't think that is good for pets.

@Tissyanne

Lono has LOW Sodium versions, not that I give it to my dog.  I am on AD.

I have never liked bouillon cubes, powdered broths etc....but I love this.

I am on AD for chix low sodium.

I did not like the beef tom or mushroom chix at all.

My doc recommended this when I was having trouble keeping anything in me before my gallbladder surgery.  If I'm just drinking it I have to add more than the eight ounces of water because the flavor is just too strong for me.  I use about 14 ounces.  I also use it in soups.

A friend makes beef broth homemade, she gave me a spoonful.

To my tastebuds it was nasty.  So glad I didn't waste money purchasing it.

Way too much sodium in them for me.

I cannot stand the taste ot Lono Life!  I've only tried the chicken one; I would not even attempt any others.

However, I tried a different brand -- Dr. Kellyann High Protein Bone Broth with Collagen, in the siracha chichen flavor.  Delicious!!  I'm on my 2nd order.

A suggestion for those that want to give their pets bone broth--get one designed for dogs OR cats.  I stress the "or" because of their different nutritional needs.

I use Brutus Bone Broth.  It is extremely low in sodium and the dogs love it.  I use the beef flavor but it is also available in other flavors.

Re: Loni life bone broth

[ Edited ]

@Marp The main thing is that there's an ingredient that cats need that dogs don't.  So, cats can't eat just dog food, but dogs can get away with eating cat food.  Maybe not the best for them, but not missing any essential ingredients.  However, I wasn't talking about giving this to my cat for a meal.  Just for some additional flavoring (and smell) to encourage him to eat.  But, I'll look into the bone broth for pets.
