LockNLock Tote Bags Confusion

I had bought three Tote Bags with the containers last year.  A friend of mine wanted another one, so when I saw what I thought was what I had bought previously, I ordered one.  Something told me to check the measurements of both bags and the containers.  Good thing I did.  While the title of the products is extremely similar, they are not the same products.  I cancelled the order.

The ones I ordered last year measured 161/2" x 161/2" x 4 3/4". They have a 45" strap and the containers (with handles) measure 8 1/4" x 4".  They are extremely well made and sturdy.  They each hold about 25 lbs.  The containers have a colored top and a clear bottom.

The item that was offered last Wednesday is NOT the same product.  The bag measures 11/14" x 13" x 4 1/2".  The containers have no handles and measure 7 1/2  x 3".  They have a colored bottom and a clear top.  They only hold about 15 lbs.

At no time during the presentation did the hosts make any reference to the size of the bag and of the containers, despite the fact that they have the same title and look identical to the larger ones.

Somebody missed the boat on this one!

@Whitney400

I don't see where anyone missed the boat. The hosts did their job of presenting the product in front of them, as it is.

I purchased a 3 piece tote bag set like this  nearly 10 years ago; every time it has been presented since, the containers and the tote bag have been quite different than what I have.  This brand makes changes to their products often; nothing ever stays exactly the same.

@Whitney400   Appearances do deceive,but unless the title and the item number are identical to our past purchases, I believe the host was truthful and accurate.  Close does not count.  Seems to me I've read that explanation many times here on the Forums.

I bought a version several years ago.  Came with three bags and three round containers. Gave one as a gift and kept two.   The container is 1.7 quart and is my most used piece of lock and lock.  Colored bottom, clear lid.  I love that size.  I knew the newer ones were much smaller.  I know my version wasn't considered mini totes.

Re: LockNLock Tote Bags Confusion

i own the larger tote bag with the three containers.

it was pretty easy to tell that this set was not the same size as the larger set.

they are both great sets though.

the presentation was fine.
