I just had a small square lid break!  Probably used it just a few times...oh well...I will stick to the CHEAPER brands...never had problems with any of them!

I agree with the others, the new sets have this problem.  You can tell by looking at the lids, they aren't made as well.  It's happened on both square and round ones.  It takes a couple tries, but I get it to close.

Stopped buying them when I couldn't latch all sides.  I don't put them in the dishwasher either.  I buy the ones at WM and love them.  They are made so much better.

I can't imagine the WM ones are any better? I don't trust anything made in China. I've never had any latch break off of any of mine. I've been solely using L&L containers for 10 years at least! I really love them. If I ever have one latch that doesn't want to snap closed I just rotate the lid and walla! I've always cleaned mine in the top shelf of my dishwasher! I won't buy anything I can't put in the dishwasher. Woman Happy

L&L is made either in China or Korea. I personally have no problem with that or with the product. It is plastic, after all, and I allow for that. Overall, I've had very mishaps, and I've been using L&L for years.

I notice the new leftover set I bought (three small sizes) has two tabs on each side.  Maybe that will help.  I've only had one batch over the years with this problem, all were small and medium rectangles.  I've sort of figured out it is best to put lids back on immediately after washing.  Of course if you have tight storage this will not work for you.

Yes, I have the same problem with several more.  I quit buying Lock & Lock after my 1st purchase because I found they are hard to close, stain like crazy, and break easily.  Too bad I found out after the 30 days.  Very poor quality.
