My student teacher recently gifted me a wonderful baking cookbook.

It's huge hardcover book with the most classic recipes from around the world, organized by region.  It's baking and history in one.

I hadn't heard of it before that, so I thought I share if anyone is interested.

Thank you, @house_cat.  I collect cookbooks and this might be one to add to my collection.  It might also be a book that my cooking club would like.  How nice of your student teacher.

It seemed like there were a couple of very similar books.

The one I have is pictured in the OP.

It was published by Parragon Press.

I saw it on several sites including Amazon but not all have it in stock.

There's an e-book version too.

As you know posters have been banned for posting links (or reposting them).

You should be able to find it now knowing the full name, author and publisher.

@OceanDreamer,Thanks, I got it for around $15.00 because they discounted it.  It will be an interesting read having taught Foods and Advanced Foods.
