We live in NH and get them fresh right out of the water at the coast and the prices are great. At the grocery stores around here they are often $3.99 a lb. and they will steam them in a machine for free. Sometimes we go that route too. Seems to be a lot less of a mess!

@bargainsgirl wrote:wonder who buys lobster tails for $199??? Wow guess we are lucky enough to have stayed in Maine and get them right out of the water ...4 WHOLE lobsters for a range of $18-26.....for all we cook them at home and you can't beat that!!!!!
People who can't do basic math. The price is BEYOND ridiculous. The amount of lobster you get is 3.75 pounds. The cost per pound is $53.

Think an iem costs too much? Don't buy ot!
It really is none of your business how others spend their money -- unless you are prepared to open up your purchases for criticism.

They do have them on more so during the summer months, and during the holidays. I never threw a couple of "tails" on the grill tho! Got our fill while vacationing in Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and Maine (Moosehead Lake)

Never a "couple of lobster tails " here either. We are porkers when we cook them!! We have 3@, lol! Would it help if I say they are smallish?

It's hard to describe, how much I despise lobster and crab, so, to me,๐๐๐๐Free would be expensive!
I know, no real reason for me to share this, I just wanted to!

I guess if you really love it and want the ease of prepartion AND you have the money you'll pay it. Me, there's no food I would pay that much money for.
