I don't get it 😳 it looks like a plastic taco shell with an elastic on it. You put it into fruit or vegetables you've cut into. Ummmm I'll stick to Saran Wrap and ziplock baggies. It's an Austrailian product. It only protects the cut part....still don't get it. Lol

I don't know what you don't get; very simple.  This silicone product stretches to fit over a cut fruit or vegetable to keep it from drying out.  They had a similar but smaller item last night for small fruits, cans or bottles.  Cuts down on the use of plastic wrap.

I didn't get it either. How is it protected from the air if it's exposed to air? A strap doesn't seal it. I must have missed something.

I understand that but it seems so stupid. Baggies and Saran Wrap work just fine and they're a couple bucks not $20+ 😨

Environmentally better, since they dont use petroleum prducts and clog the landfills..also its a more airtight seal, I think

I wonder about the integrity of this item.  I noticed, in one shot, that you could see that air would be getting in there from the ends.   I'm going to call 'bogus' on this one.  ANY air getting in there would allow the break down.   With air it is an 'all or nothing' deal and I don't see it precluding 100% of air getting in there.

But then, I'm a nut for proper food storage and so I may be more picky than most.    Smiley Happy

Re: Dream farm food savers?

[ Edited ]

I saw those last night. I thought it looked like a waste of money IMO. I don't see how that can keep air out of those foods. Looks like you would still have to store it in something else or have lots of juice from the fruit leaking in the refrigerator. Not happening in my house. If I need to seal something to keep air out I can use my Foodsaver.

I agree. Again I'll stick with Saran Wrap or a lock and lock
