My cabinets and table looked nice and coordinated. Then I needed a soup tureen. OW Brown was sold out and no yellow so I got OW Spice. My daughter bought me a couple more spice pieces for Christmas. You can guess the rest. I couldn't resist Harvest and Falfetti, oh yes, a couple OW Brown sandwich sets. Now I'm the proud owner of mismatched dishes! It's mominohio's fault that I have five pitchers and on the waiting list for another soup tureen. That's my story.

Funny story about too many pitchers! Last summer, we had a real hot spell. We live in the country and have an artesian well, so having water is never a problem, but have a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. That system was on the blink, and we either had to let it drip constantly in the sink or shut it off. It was a hassle to keep turning it on and off, so I'd turn it on, fill up my 8 or so Old World pitchers, and my two OW beverage dispensers, then shut it off for a couple of days. We had filtered drinking water available in the prettiest rainbow of colors. I enjoyed it so much, I wasn't in any hurry to get the part to fix the system. Finally did get it done though!

Had I been thinking, I could have stored even more water in my soup tureens! So I'll just have to be proud that I've put you in the position to store more water than you ever though you'd need!

Unfortunately they lost me when they dropped the lilac. I just got tired of waiting for it to return. I no longer watch the shows because of it. I don't care for confetti so that won't work. If anything needs to be replaced I'll just go back to white Pyrex or Corningware. I love Temptations but will no longer look for extra pieces.

I was a lilac collector also. A caller mentioned lilac last night and then said to Tara that since there was no lilac again she got another color. Tara didn't address the lack of lilac pieces at all.
