Lisa Answered Seasonal Color Question. Sort of

I posted 'what are seasonal colors' question on Facebook. Lisa promptly answered that lilac, teal, lime, pink, yellow etc., are seasonal colors. She gave standard answer that there are too many products to offer in every color. Duh!, (sorry forgive me for being mean!) So for the collectors of cream and gray ?? I guess I give up on collecting OW Yellow. I will enjoy the many pieces I have and start collecting Floral Lace. Now I just have to select a "basic color" that will not clash with my yellow and spice pieces. Wonder what color in FLace Tara and her mom are collecting?

Hi Pudding98! Perhaps Brown or Green? Those would look nice with your yellow and spice. Since Tara's Mom collects OW Cranberry and Black, I can see her collecting the Black or Cranberry in Floral Lace too. Maybe Tara collects Floral Lace Blue? She always raves over that color when featured.

I always hear Tara say she collects OW Confetti. I don't remember her talking about collecting Floral Lace. I have OW and polka dots, but I think Floral Lace is prettier except it doesn't come in a color I can use and also I don't care for the brown trim. Don't need more "stuff" anyway.

I would vote for the brown FL to match/coordinate with your yellow OW. I think the brown and yellow together is so pretty! And brown and spice are just a natural. I have some FL brown, and I think it is very elegant, but then all FL is beautiful to me. I have a hard time deciding, and want to collect everything in FL in blue, spice, brown and green!

Will there ever be a Floral Lace Red canister set?

Thanks everyone. My daughter collects Spice in the FL and it is so pretty. I'm going to give it some serious thought. I don't want to end up with my kitchen looking like a kaleidoscope!

Ok! Now you've stepped on my toes!(LOL) If you opened my cabinets, it looks like the Wizard Of Oz there is so much color in there. But when I set the table or a buffet, I try to be sure to coordinate it all. Hence the ridiculously large collection I have!!

Hi pudding98, I only have a small set of OW yellow and then only because the set I wanted was sold put at the time (OW green). They do go very nicely together. I never liked the Confetti because of all the colors and I am with you about there can be too many colors in the kitchen!! IMO.

One good thing about having the yellow, it pretty much matches any other color but spice would "blend" in well...also as Poppet1 mentioned..maybe the green? Let us know what you decide !!!

Re: Lisa Answered Seasonal Color Question. Sort of

One of the ways I justified collecting Temptations was that I got rid of all my mismatched pieces and colors and used only OW Yellow, my Fiesta solid yellow and solid white pieces. My cabinets and table looked nice and coordinated. Then I needed a soup tureen. OW Brown was sold out and no yellow so I got OW Spice. My daughter bought me a couple more spice pieces for Christmas. You can guess the rest. I couldn't resist Harvest and Falfetti, oh yes, a couple OW Brown sandwich sets. Now I'm the proud owner of mismatched dishes! It's mominohio's fault that I have five pitchers and on the waiting list for another soup tureen. That's my story.

My dinnerware is Corelle in a black & white color way so I only buy TT in black and white - i have a black polka dot lasagna pan - and a set in daisy pattern from many years ago - a pie pan set in black OW . However, the colors in my LR /DR are burgandy and beige so I have just recently purchased a few pieces in Floral lace cranberry - 2 sets of napkin rings and salt/pepper shakers. I have some other random pieces of TT in the seashell pattern and I had a tea set in OW blue until my DH dropped it on the ceramic tile and broke it. I am currently looking into getting some pieces for our summer camp but have not yet decided on a color or pattern.
