I see the hot pick is two pans.  Is this brand really worth the high price? QVC had sold a cheaper version of this years ago and I purchased it on the dutch oven and was very happy with it for half the price.

I think they're really nice. I could never get them because they are so heavy.

@SharkE, thank you for taking the time to post these threads. I'm not purchasing a Le Creuset right now but I've been really interested in reading what serious cooks have been saying about Le Creuset. From what I've read it sounds as though Le Creuset provides a level of even, all around cooking that brings out the best in cooking recipes.

It also sounds as though using it in conjunction with an inversion cooktop gives you an exceptional level of control with recipes.

And much like my beloved Vitamix blender, a Le Creuset is a one and done purchase because it will last you a lifetime... so, over time, it becomes an affordable "per cooking use" beloved piece of cookware.

Down the road, I can see Le Creuset in my future. Smiley Happy

The majority of my cookware is Le Creuset.  I can't say enough good about it!

As with any item, it is overpriced if purchased from QVC or a specialty store.  I get mine from the outlets.

It is great to cook with and is a quality product.  If you don't love it, and don't really want one, forget about buying it.  You will think you spent too much money on it probably.  If you love it, buy one and you will be delighted for years.

Very true Sooner!

I could be very happy with a basic set, but I have way more pieces than I need.  I don't regret a single penny.
