@SharkE I had been wanting to try shears for a long time . I finally did try the set you bought . They are handy at times and I really use the serrated box cutter edge a lot. I find the one side of the handle awkward though ( I get my arthritic thumb stuck. Smiley Happy ) If I purchase more it will be without the 'loop'.

 

I know they are self-sharpening . It only seems to work on one pair though. One remains dull and will not cut through much.
