Kudos Martha!!!!!

[ Edited ]

Putting aside all the negative comments about her & TSV surrounding price, ingredients, her ups & downs, etc...

This was the first time in a very long time I actually enjoyed & learned during the hours & hours of the TSV presentations!

  I thought she handled every host from Rick D's hyper-activity to the pleasantness of David Veneable (who imo is always a gentlemen - even though he's super excited with certain guests!😊)!  Plus, no kissing (hosts) every time she came on a simple hello or handshake - low keyed!

I just know I've learned over my many years from her great shows, recipes & crafting.  My Dream day would be to sit & chat with her OR she could serve her turkey & sides anytime at my house!

I agree. She was in her environment and that is cooking and food.

I have a different take, and think the kudos goes to QVC and the hosts.  I've seen Martha   on HSN, and it was completely ackward.  She didn't engage, and just looked very uncomfortable.

I think she is natually very stiif, but has seemed to loosen up some on QVC.  Again, I attribute this to really warm, and professional hosts, i.e., Jane, David, Mary Beth, Jill.

I think Martha Stewart, like Barbra Streisand, gets a bad rap for being a perfectionist. I like both of them and appreciate they do their best for their audiences and, I'll bet, for themselves. They wouldn't permit anything less.

@MarkeieMark

cant say I ever saw her on HSN but I agree with @Doc74 she is definitely in her element & comfort zone in the kitchen!

Yes, it was a enjoyable presentation whatever host was paired with her, I just used Rick and David as examples!

I really don't care if Martha or any vendors fit that matter are stiff and not warm and fuzzy.just tell me about your product. They lose respect points for me when they happy dance and it is not authentic for them, the host are just pandering to make a sale.

i enjoyed all the presentations i saw. to me Martha was Martha. i look to her for ideas and she didn't disappoint.  i enjoyed seeing how she garnished the turkey and have already stolen her idea of layering parchment paper under foil to keep the foil away from food. and i thought she held up extremely well considering the verrrrry long day.  kudos.

Agreed.  I don't understand all this dissecting of her presentations - too stiff here, too loose there.  All I ever see is Martha being Martha.  I enjoy her.  Always have. (And her sugar cookie recipe is the bomb!)

I totally enjoyed MS yesterday.  I agree she was totally in her element.  There was entirely too much criticism with people wanting her to be something she is not.  She is not silly, chatty, smiley; but she is reserved, knowledgeable, pleasant.  Someone even called her a '"convicted felon".  What does that have to do with anything; she paid for her mistakes graciously and has never had a problem since.
