I've been waiting for this mini tilt head stand mixer to arrive!  It's available at lots of retail stores now, so I wonder what kind of deal QVC will have when they introduce their own "pack-up."

25% lighter, 20% smaller than the standard stand mixer, and 3.5 quart bowl.  I cook for just me, and sometimes me & my son.  This size would be perfect for my smaller servings recipes.

QVC has no plans to sell it.  I'm pretty sure it was @SharkE that was in touch with them and that's what they told her.

I do have it, bought it at Target and I love mine because of it's smaller size and weight.

Hmmmm.  I went straight to the KitchenAid lady who presents the brand.  I expressly asked her about the Mini coming to QVC.  She teased with coming soon

Well they should consider selling it.  Not everyone is making loaves of bread and dozens of cookies.  I predict it will be a TSV by the end of the year.

Just announced on her Instagram account:  "The Mini stand mixer is coming to QVC on Sunday!"

Re: KitchenAid Artisan Mini

[ Edited ]

There are lots of reviews on the Net about the new mini. Most are quite positive except for 2 main things—the price is not much less than the larger Artisan model and the fact that the bowl has no handle. In fact, a friend purchased the mini and ended up returning it because she said the bowl was a real pain to take on and off. In fact, it slipped out of her hands and sort of skidded across her counter when she was preparing something. Oops!  She also mentioned the power, which is equivalent to the lower-end standard Kitchen Aid mixers evidently. Not necessarily a bad thing, of course, but it's worth noting.

Anyone thinking of buying should definitely Google for the comprehensive reviews from kitchen/cooking/tech sites where the models are compared and reviewed by real people who have tested them. Great info to be found there. ETA: This review on amazon is really interesting and very comprehensive. A lof of what the author of the review states reflects the same things my friend told me about why she returned her mini mixer.

This is a old thread, but, I got one I bought at Bed & bath with my 20% coupon. I enjoy it a lot.  Quiet.

Hope it does comes on Q

Be fun to watch

I couldn't wait all that time and was surprised Q didn't get it first before it hit the B&B, Target, etc.

Somebody dropped the ball on that one.

After I got a full sized KA mixer from Q and it was damaged I had to send it back to KA, then, I had trouble with the beaters, I gave up and asked for money back fromQ.   They gave it to me then i went to B&B and bought the mini since I had a full size Cuisinart, also.

I never saw the old thread; the Mini mixer just crossed my radar recently.  Good to know it's been out in retail for a while.  I can read all the reviews before deciding to purchase,

I have my late mom's very old Sunbeam.

No need for a replacement.
